Smoke Definition: Solid-state electronics are made with a small amount of smoke on the inside of the parts. This smoke atmosphere is what makes the part function as designed. If something happens that lets the smoke get out, (often accompanied by a spark when the package pops open), the part will probably not work. It is best to never let the smoke out of your computer. Usage: Bob the sales guy hooked that demo pc up wrong, and it hasn't worked since the smoke came out. Posted by OU812 on August 9, 2009 at 13:51:43 Pacific |
