 PWN Definition: Derived from the verb own. Often in the heat of a first person shooter battle and due to the proximity of the P key to the O key, while trying to type own the user would instead type pwn. Pwn then gained popularity among the 1337 and became a word in its own right. Pwn does not need to be written in all capitals because it is not an acronym. PWN Definition: Acronym standing for "Power Own". This term is used to describe that someone, or something, was put to shame by another's superiority over them. This could be that someone was handily beaten in PvP in an MMORPG, or something was destroyed or beaten easily IRL. Other variants include PWND, PWNED, or simply Owned.
