 privacy Definition: A fictional situation in which a person's information is known only by those who they wish to know it. Stories tell of a time when this was the case, and a person could expect their friends, family, acquaintances, employer and government to respect a supposed right not to have every scrap of information about them known by those they did not wish, but in recent years the accademic community has admitted that this is probably a myth. Usage: Citizen: Hey, you can't build a national database holding all my personal details. That violates my privacy! Politician: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
