 Player Definition: A player is any live person who is controlling a character in a game. The characters are either pregenerated by the computer or customized by the player. The characters are given names unique to them, that identify the player. When referring to a player in the game, it is common to refer to their character name and not their actual name. Players then play the game using the character created to interact with the computer game. Computer characters that either play with you or against you are often referred to as bots, especially in First Person shooting games.
