PGA Definition: n. An acronym for Pin Grid Array. This generally refers to the method by which a component (generally a CPU) makes contact with a motherboard. Specifically, a PGA system utilizes a number of pins on the bottom of the component, which fit into holes in a socket on the motherboard, facilitating electrical contact.
