 network Definition: A Network is a group of computers or servers linked together. This link can allow Internet access, file transfer or any kind of data transfer. Networks can be set up on a LAN(Local Area Connection), or set up across the Internet with as many other computers or servers. The Internet could be considered as one big network. There are many types of Networks. (E.G. WAN, LAN, MAN, CAN...etc) Each type of network depends on it's environment and how it's set up. Usage: I play Quake 3 with my friend on LAN.
