hibernate Definition: Hibernate is a quick way to turn off your computer. The operating system just copies the contents of RAM to the Hard Disk and then cut off power to the system. When you turn your computer ON again, the operating system just reload contents from HDD back to RAM so that it takes very less time than the regular boot up sequence and you get your computer in almost same condition with same applications running. However, hibernate is NOT a substitute of Restarting your system which means if after installing, a software requires Restart then Hibernate wont do the job, you WILL have to Restart your system.
