GUI

Definition: Graphical User Interface. Pronounced gooey. Windows is a GUI because it involves visual, interactice elements like windows, icons, and menus. Older operating systems such as DOS, which were purely textual and controlled typing. Today we talk about GUI when we want to talk about software design.
Usage: I love the new Windows 7 GUI, it is so clean.
