 Cooler Definition: In high-tech terms, a cooler is the computer component that prevents overheating. Coolers can be in the form of heat sinks, fans, water-cooled systems, heat pipes and even refrigeration systems. In gambling terms, a cooler is slang for someone that turns a hot table (gamblers are winning) to a cold table (gamblers are losing) just by being present. Usage: If you plan to overclock your CPU, make sure that you have the right cooler to keep your computer from overheating.
