 cache Definition: a cache is a storage area for temporary internet files to help increase the speed of the web. By saving commonly used items in the local cache and loading them instead of the original everytime you view a web page, there is less data your browser needs to download, thereby decreasing the total size of the data that needs to be downloaded.
