Bottleneck Definition: A term used to describe a point of slowdown. This can be used for crowds, vehicular traffic, and most commonly, is used to describe a pinching point in computer performance. A "Bottleneck" can be attributed to any number of computer hardware components, such as the CPU, GPU, RAM, MOBO, etc. Usage: I think your CPU is a bottleneck on your video card's performance.
