 adware Definition: Adware is software that is usually installed by the user and is offered for free in exchange for the user viewing some ads. Some adware just wants to give you a free product and still make a profit, other adware shows you ads when you don't want it to even when you are offline, and some even infect your internet browser and block legitimate content and displays it's own.
