 adult Definition: The state a person enters once they have reached the age of majority. The age of majority varies between different countries and ranges between the ages of 14 and 21. The is purely a legal definition. In biological terms a person can be classed as an adult as early as 10 years old, that is the age at which a female can conceive and a male can fertilise the female.
