5200 RPM Definition: 5,200 Revolutions Per Minute, usually referring to the speed at which the platters (disks) with a Hard Drive is spinning. The higher the RPMs , typically, the faster the hard drive will transfer data. This speed it typical for OEM installed hard drives. They are also the slowest, and most inexpinsive.
