 1080p Definition: A display mode for HDTV's, with a resolution of 1920x1080. The 'P' stands for progressive scan, where each horizontal line of a picture is drawn at every refresh. A successor to 1080i (interlaced), which draws every other line alternatively. Usage: Be sure to use a Blu-Ray player that supports 1080p with your 1080p HDTV.
